Teaching Demonstration
Example Recorded Lecture
The following video is a sample of a recorded lecture I created for the online Death and Dying course. The goal of recorded lectures is to highlight key points from the textbook chapter(s) for that week. Students are encouraged to attend the weekly synchronous sessions online to further discuss each book chapter and ask any questions they may have. Most recordings are no more than 20 minutes to ensure effective virtual learning experiences for students.

For this particular week, the module title was "Facing Death". Students were to read chapters 7 and 8 from the textbook then watch the recorded lectures. These lectures were accompanied with a Pop Culture Discussion Board about the impact of COVID-19 on funerals.

The textbook used to create this lecture is DeSpelder, L. A., & Strickland, A. L. (2020). The last dance: Encountering death and dying (11th edition). Boston: McGraw Hill.
